![]() ![]() I have video off youtube and regza can play these moviesĬomplete name : E:\Film\YouTube\video. I don't suppose anybody might know why some vob files will not covert or myabe able to suggest something I could try? Output #0, dvd, to 'M:\Movies\Movieqn.vob': Input #0, avi, from 'M:\Video\Films\Movieqn.avi': vob that don't and they are all very similar.Ĭodecs of videos (.avi) that do not work:įFMPEG description for another. ![]() I have checked the codec info comparing those. I've tried a number of alternative FFMPEG command line configurations including (strict (-1, 0, 1), -minrate 4000k -maxrate 4000k, etc) but to no avail some files will still not play, though they all will play in VLC on my laptop vob's as above will not play in the media player on my tv, simply returning "Media Player Error". However some of my movies when converted to. avi's (though is a massive increase in file size). avi's) so I have been using FFMpeg to convert them with the following command line:įfmpeg.exe -i "Input Filename.avi" -f dvd -vcodec mpeg2video -target pal-dvd -acodec ac3 "Output Filename.vob" I have worked out that the Toshiba supports MPEG2 and AC3 VOB files only, most of my movies are in MPEG4 (DIVX. I blame most of this on Toshiba, they have no documentation and the TV does not support enough Codecs. ![]() ![]() I'm an advanced user and it has taken me ages to finally get to the bottom of being able to work out how to play movies from my server on my TV. Ffmpeg.exe is able to monitor applications. I thought, given all of the stuff I read on DLNA that this would be easy, plug and play and connect and I could stream without any major problems.ĭLNA technology is crap at the moment. The ffmpeg.exe file is a file with no information about its developer. I have just bought a DLNA compatible Toshiba Regza LCD TV, upon a quick google of DLNA technology though that this would be great to combine with my DLNA compatible QNAP TS-219 network server to allow me to play my movies from my NAS on my TV. ![]()
